IndieBio was SOSV’s biology-focused accelerator, providing seed funding, wet-lab space, and mentorship to turn scientists into entrepreneurs. In 2026, SOSV renamed the program to SOSV SF and SOSV NY, reflecting an expanded remit beyond biology into deep tech generally (AI, energy, materials, chemistry, plasma, and physics) - though biotech remains a major focus. SOSV invests up to $550k at pre-seed across ~60 companies/year. Between 2015-2025, IndieBio’s 310 graduates raised $3.6 billion.

SOSV now runs both a San Francisco site (shown, the original IndieBio location) and a New York site under this program.
